As I read through these and comment, hopefully you will not tire of me saying...Great piece of work/writing. I will try not to repeat myself, where the meat of each comment is concerned.
Thanks for providing the links to stories and source references, It always great to have those and leads to deeper digging.
The one sentence I appreciated out of all the great material, was:
"This isn't ending any time soon, unless we say No More!"
It's not because it instilled hope or acknowledged an avenue out of the mess, but that it represented an understanding that the solution lies in the CHOICE...both on a collective and individual scale.
As with virtually all dysfunctional behavior, the solution to balance and normalcy is almost always in the hands of the sufferer. The allegory of the chained elephant syndrome has been told many time and is illustrative of the power people have, but are made blind to, over time.
Similarly we are like prisoners in a cell, that was once locked and electrified. Over time the electricity was turned off and the door left unlocked, yet we stayed put and accepted that we had no choice.
So what prevents us from trying the door...it's Three self imposed hurdles...Three Things.
If you've made it over to the first issue of my stack, you know what they are and what I will explain here, in brief, for others. While these hurdles were orchestrated and put in place long ago, we have maintained and elevated them, over the centuries, to where now, those who seek to control us only need use them, to apply pressure, where and when they like...We do the rest for them.
The three things are Comfort, Convenience and Entertainment (distraction). You can look at every example of societal control, over just the last 3 years and see them at work.
If you can grasp the following premise, you will see both why we have a choice and why so many refuse to make it.

Keep up the great work. We can most certainly come back from the brink, but we must learn to abandon the centuries old conditioning and say No, to the modern day versions of it. Not an easy task but doable, even more so as our numbers grow.
